Fallen Rune is a dark medieval fantasy extraction game built around melee combat, dangerous expeditions, and rune-based item crafting. Venture into ruined grounds, fight enemies, search for valuable loot, and find your way back to safety.
Every run brings a decision: leave with what you have found, or risk pushing further for something better.
Combat built around timing
Chain your attacks into stronger combos and keep an eye on your stamina. Time your next strike to continue the combo and deal more damage—but miss the window, and you will waste stamina. Choose your moments carefully instead of swinging blindly.
Find loot. Shape your equipment.
A weapon’s potential goes beyond its base damage. Find items with different modifiers and use the runes you collect to change them into something that suits your playstyle.
Six types of crafting runes let you:
- Augment — add a random modifier if there is room.
- Cleansing — remove a random unlocked modifier.
- Mutation — improve or worsen the tier of a random unlocked modifier.
- Transmutation — replace a random unlocked modifier with a different one.
- Evolution — upgrade or downgrade the item’s base where possible.
- Stasis — permanently lock one random modifier on an item with at least three modifiers. Usable only once per item.
A powerful modifier can make an ordinary find worth keeping. Decide what to preserve, what to replace, and when to stop taking risks.
Three crystals. Your protection.
Equip up to three magical crystals that orbit your character and provide protective and utility bonuses. Their colors indicate rarity, and their modifiers can be changed using the same rune-crafting system as your weapons.
Combine your weapon and crystals to improve your damage, survivability, and recovery for the next expedition.
Extract and prepare for the next run
Reach extraction to bring your loot back to safety. Store your finds, refine your equipment, and head back into danger with a stronger setup.
The next valuable find is a reason to keep going—and another reason to leave.
