TetraBox
A modern Tetris experience for s&box, built by danivist studios.
TetraBox takes the timeless puzzle of stacking, rotating, and clearing — and wraps it in a slick modern presentation, real online multiplayer, and a progression system you'll actually want to grind.
Game Modes
- Solo — Three difficulties (Easy, Normal, Hard) for chasing high scores at your own pace. Gravity scales with your level; mistakes cost more the longer you survive.
- VS Bot — Practice multiplayer pressure against an AI opponent that ramps up over time. Beatable, but never lazy.
- 1v1 Random Player — Real online matchmaking. Clear lines to send garbage rows to your opponent. First one to top out loses.
- 2v2 Team Match — Squad up with a random teammate against another duo. Garbage routes to a random living enemy, teammates can't be friendly-fired, and matches keep going as long as one player on each side is alive.
Progression That Matters
Every line you clear, every match you win, every score you set earns XP and TetraCoins that persist between sessions. Your profile is tied to your Steam ID, so progress follows you across machines.
- Leveling with a smooth XP curve — milestone levels unlock new shop items.
- Win/Loss tracking for every multiplayer match, including forfeit wins when an opponent rage-quits.
- High score tracked across all modes.
- Auto-save on every change — no progress lost when you alt-F4.
The Shop
Spend your TetraCoins on three categories of cosmetics — 51 items in total, ranging from free starters to legendary level-40 unlocks:
- 21 Block Styles — Classic, Neon, Pastel, Matrix, Cyberpunk, Lava, Royal, Vaporwave, Goldrush, Prism, Galaxy and more. Each style has its own 7-piece palette.
- 17 Backgrounds — Pick the playfield color that fits your mood: Void, Midnight, Sunset, Abyss, Forge, Tundra, Velvet, Aureate, Nebula and beyond.
- 13 Name Styles — Make your tag stand out. Frost, Toxic, Inferno, Mythic, Gold, Platinum, Emerald, animated Rainbow, Cosmos, and the pulsing Legend name (level 40).
Items below your level are visible but locked behind a clear requirement, so you always know what to play for next.
Controls
Standard modern Tetris feel — A/D to move, S for soft drop, Space for hard drop, E/W to rotate, C/Shift to hold, P/ESC to pause, R to restart. Menus use W/S to navigate, Enter to confirm, ESC to back out.
