Overview

Grid Royale takes classic tic-tac-toe and turns it into a competitive 3D progression game.
Play against bots or challenge other players online, earn trophies and climb through increasingly challenging arenas.

Five Arenas

  • Arena 1 — classic 3×3
  • Arena 2 — 5×5
  • Arena 3 — 10×10
  • Arena 4 — 15×15
  • Arena 5 — Ultimate Tic-Tac-Toe
Each arena raises the scale of the board and changes what it takes to win.

Play Your Way

Training — explore arenas without risking trophies.
Competitive — play for trophies and progression.
Online — competitive 1v1 PvP on the classic Grid Royale formats.
Party — play training matches with a friend.

Changes on 2026-08-18
Fair matchmaking, a less predictable bot, emotes, and a win-streak bonus Aug 18, 2026
Added
  • Battle emotes: throw one of 6 animated emojis at your opponent during ranked 1v1 matches (5-second cooldown)
  • Win-streak bonus: win 3 ranked matches in a row to earn a one-time Freeze bonus that stops your own clock for 5 seconds — collect it as an emblem above the board, then use it in any later match
Improved
  • The bot no longer plays the same pattern every game — it picks randomly among equally good moves instead of always the same one
  • The bot now speeds up to match your pace if you start playing faster, instead of always thinking at a fixed speed
Fixed
  • Matchmaking no longer pairs you with an opponent whose trophy count is wildly different — search range is now capped, so matches won't break right after they start
  • The match arena is now chosen based on whichever player has fewer trophies, so you won't get dropped into an arena you haven't unlocked yet
Known Issues
  • Emote bubbles and the win-streak bonus emblem/freeze icon haven't been verified in a live two-player session yet — minor visual polish may follow
