Bad performance on 1050 ti
Reply on sbox.game-
Okay I know this sounds stupid. Its a 10+ year old card, but I need a way to make the game run better.
Any tips?
+ im running the game under proton on linux so that might not help -
make file graphics_config.vcfg in Steam\steamapps\common\sbox\core\cfg and add this text in it

and add "+exec graphics_config.vcfg" in steam for s&box launch settings -
Thank you! it worked.

Bad performance on High End Pcedited:
running at 10 fps on gt 1030🤬this is a joke btw im not making fun of u lmao it reminded me of that post -
100% of the games on the platform would run on a GT 1030 at 60fps if it were Unity, -
Your video card is too old for this engine, you need at least a 5090. I have a 3060, and that's enough to play at 40 FPS. However, it's important to remember that before installing a powerful modern engine, you first need to upgrade your PC.

you need at least a 5090
Is this something planned to be optimized in the future? Or it's "by design": sbox => new hardware needed? If so, it would be a pity.
I tried sbox at several points in time. I did notice 1/ lack of fluidity on my 4060. I did not notice a lot of 2/ "wow, it looks so great compared to other games". But I was thinking that 1/ is because the game is still heavily under dev. -
I think it's just a matter of time before the developers start optimizing it, or at least provide us with some tools for it. Until then, we'll have to endure low FPS. :(
