I dont like s&box playermodels
Reply on sbox.game-
I don't like the s&box playermodels, here's a few reason why:
1) The playermodels look like sausages. Who's gonna go to the cosmetic store and think "What should I dress up my sausage with".
2) The playermodels are long and skinn, some of the best playermodels in history have more width and are not as long (Team Fortress 2, Roblox, MInecraft). I am not saying the models have to literally look like legos btw.
3) Cosmetics look werid on the playermodels due to the skinny/tall playermodel design. Purely my opinion ofc. -
It's an acquired taste. Just like fall guys, or fornite skins. You don't have to use Citizen, and cosmetics are optional. Also, you're free to use your own custom player models in your game, nothing is locking you to Citizen or Human.
-
The difference between Fall guys and s&box is that Fall Guy's pmodels aren't as skinny so there's more space for the cosmetics.

It's a platform full of games, you can make your own, you can set up rig your own player model, you can use the realistic player model, so many other options, if you dislike citizen js don't use it like Austin said
-
The default playermodel is what most of the games are going to use though, because it's the default. Also, if the default playermodel doesn't look that good, and the cosmetics look weird on said playermodel, ppl will be less likely to pay for those cosmetics.

@parish
But each developer chooses which model to use in their game. If you're complaining about a specific one, instead of complaining about the platform, you should tell that developer. Besides, everyone has their own tastes, and nothing is going to change to suit yours. I'm not talking about this, I'm talking about life in general.
If you're a developer and you don't like the sausage model, use the human one. Simple as that. Nobody's forcing you to use the other one. -
Just some base content to start you off in the engine, opinion disregarded.

I personally don't understand the hate of them, especially as there are 2 variants anyways.

The fact of the matter is that sausage man is offputting. People can and will get used to it, however I have already talked to multiple people who will not be playing s&box specifically because of the that player model.
Having an offputting default character model, and plastering it all over the advertising will result in reduced player numbers. If having that specific character model as the face of s&box is more important than gaining users, then keeping it as the default makes sense. -
man the constant whining about terry the sausage™ is unbearable
-
Terry is perfect in my eyes, stop trying to lookmaxx him
-
My only problem is that I more closely resemble my citizen than my sfm model IRL :'(

I just did this like 3 days ago and got me a Easter Bunny Hat -
They look weird as heck naked, but as soon you cloth them they're charming in their own sausage way
