How similar is this to unity? i tend to set my games up to have sliders and object hierarchies and scriptable objects at times to cut down on the amount of code i need to make unless its fleshing out like an entirely new system.
i know its general layout is similar to unity, but like how close to unity is the game engine itself.
is it possible to use the "Party mode" i think someone called it to join a game with some friends to then build a map together? like say for some reason we don't want to build it in the editor, can we get together and build it in-game with build tools? like even if we have to make the tools ourselves again - asking due to similar platforms handling things differently some platforms allow this and some dont.
i also know that while the project is open source and you can technically make your own avatar/clothes etc... for personal use, does anyone know if gary plans to let us eventually make avatars/clothes etc... to upload for other players to then buy/use? like yes obviously we can upload files and send it to them and tell them how to apply said files for it to work/be accessible.
but im asking if theres any plans or ideas being tossed around for this to maybe eventually be a feature.
- and sorry for all the questions, just looking at S&box and im seeing the absolutely massive potential in it for it to eventually completely take over this space between core and roblox and other things like it, if done well and executed right, this could become THE indie platform especially with the deal for being able to upload to steam from it.
im terrible at using forums so if these questions are answered on another post - i failed in finding it and im sorry for making spam
