Been working on this for quite a while now and figured it was finally time to show some of it.
It’s called Sovereign Atlas, and it’s a WW2 grand strategy game I’ve been building in s&box. (Name might be changed close to launch haven't decided would love opinions on it)
The game starts in January 1936 and the idea is basically to give you a full world to play around with, not just a handful of major countries. Germany, the UK, France, the Soviet Union, USA, Italy, Japan and China are highlighted as the main picks if you want the most action, but there are almost 200 playable nations, territories and administrations in total. So you can play something huge like Germany or the Soviet Union, or you can pick somewhere like Jamaica, Bhutan, a colony, or a really small country and just try to build it up and see what happens. Screenshot 2026-09-15 232320.png270.08 KB
There are also three different ways the world can behave.
Historical Tendencies tries to keep countries interested in historically believable decisions when the situation makes sense.
Balanced Sandbox gives the AI more freedom and makes the world less predictable.
Alternate History lets things go completely off the rails and creates much more unpredictable campaigns.
A lot of the major systems are already in now too. There’s production, construction, resources, logistics, trade, research, national agendas, government and laws, diplomacy, division design, armies and frontlines, air forces, navies, supply, wars and peace deals.
I’ve also been putting a lot of work into the map itself. The world is split into countries, strategic states, provinces, cities and military regions, and I’ve been trying to make it feel like an actual grand strategy map instead of just a flat board.Screenshot 2026-09-15 232123.png735.64 KB
The game is also being translated into 5 languages:
And I’m composing a fully custom soundtrack for the game myself. I already have a lot of music written, including some pieces from my Symphonies that were originally inspired by the WW2 movie "The Pianist".
The screenshots here are still work in progress. I’m still polishing the map, UI, military presentation, historical content, balance, sound and a bunch of other stuff, but it’s finally starting to look and feel like the game I had in mind when I started it.
I’ll probably post more as I finish up different parts of it.
I'd love any input, ideas, opinions, such like that. Let me know - Do you think you'd be up to a very technically advanced grand strategy that may take a while to learn?

Here is the Main Theme for the game, that I have finished. I plan for about over 40-50 unique compositions in the game total. As I am an actual composer that has been composing for years. I will of course use some compositions from things like my Symphonies I've finished before, but they were actually made based on the WW2 movie the Pianist.
Yes its meant to just be the Main Theme music I've composed. Their is no video, just s&box seemed to not let me upload an .wav or .mp3 in the forum here.
But thanks, it is nearing to completion, will post a video of gameplay when I'm close to release.
Nearing release, with over 190 playable countries, a full soundtrack and sound design, a complete wiki type manual that helps players understand the game because I expect it to be a bit complex and confusing for new to grand strategy game players, a complete war system, construction system, economy system, historically accurate world with different mode options, paths to change history, completely unique playstyles for every major country and some minors.
A world in your hands.
New post and everything will be made once released.
