Normal players are paying $500-$1000 for a hard hat which is going to be added back every year. This shows most players assume the hard hat will never be added back. This is due to it not being stated anywhere obvious such as the description of the item.
Maybe adding a V2 of the item such as an "orange hard hat" would generate similar revenues as the normal hard hat and stop these players from losing $500-$1000 each.
I believe this approach would influence more sales for other items since most sales are generated from investors at this current time. These investors are most likely the ones buying the hard hat thus if it gets added back it may discourage them from spending $1000s more.
