About This Package

Industry² is a cozy 2D factory builder about turning a single drop of ore into a humming, self-running production line.

You don't place machines yourself. Lay out the grid and your on-site engineer walks over, builds each part, rotates it, and clears it away, so the factory is always being assembled in front of you, never just appearing.

Place a dropper to spawn raw ore, then lay conveyors to carry it through smelters, compacters, polishers and packagers, each step refining it into something more valuable. Cap it off with a processor that buys your finished goods for coins, and watch your little factory pay for itself.

As the coins roll in you'll climb a 38-node tech tree, unlocking better machines and rarer materials. When you've outgrown a layout, Rebirth trades your progress for permanent power and opens the next tier - 14 ore types from Copper to Nova, with 25 rebirths of content behind them. And once a factory really sings, compact it into the Network to earn Tech Points that fuel upgrades across everything you build.

Whether you want to chase the perfect optimized line or just relax and watch the belts move, Industry² scales from a single conveyor to a sprawling automated empire.

We hit the Play Fund, thank you all! ❤️

Please note this game is still in its BETA and subject to change any feedback is appreciated!

new_releases Latest Update Aug 8, 2026
Official V0.3.7 BETA Release
The Ancient Update Aug 8, 2026
Added
  • ANCIENT MACHINES — a whole new permanent tier. After a rebirth there's a small chance a broken Ancient Relic is already sitting on your fresh board.
  • Relics are ruined and rooted: they can't be moved, sold or cleared until you restore them. Click one to see what it needs.
  • Feed it the materials it asks for from any side. It refuses anything it doesn't need, so nothing you meant to sell gets swallowed.
  • Restore it and it's YOURS PERMANENTLY — ancient machines survive every rebirth, unlike tech and unlike unlocks.
  • Ancient Smelter — smelts in half the time, and has a 15% chance to put a SECOND smelted piece on the belt.
  • Ancient Compacter — compacts in half the time for 25% more value, and folds a second feed into the ingot it's already working. No ordinary machine can do either.
  • One relic restored is ONE machine. Find another relic of the same kind later and you can field a second — that's the only way to have more than one.
  • New Ancient panel in the top bar showing everything you've restored, and a locked Ancient tab in the toolbar that opens up once you've found your first.
  • A seventh Parts Guide page explaining the whole relic system.
  • Shiny Chance — a new Prestige upgrade. Shiny ore is worth x6 and glows the whole way down the line. Stacks with Golden Ore.
  • MACHINE SYNERGIES — identical machines placed next to each other form a bank and all work harder. Three Forges in a row is +30%. Towers reward spreading out; banks reward packing in.
  • HIDDEN RECIPES — secret combinations nothing in the game tells you about. They all fire in the Alloyer. Try things.
Improved
  • The Network screen has been rebuilt: the board is shorter, the header and pool line up with it, and nothing runs off the bottom of the screen any more.
  • Placed factories are now listed in the Network pool alongside pooled ones, so you can upgrade any of them, and tapping a placed one recalls it instead of destroying it.
  • Feedback and More Games moved to the bottom-right corner — neither is a gameplay control and they were competing with Leaderboards and Daily for attention.
  • The Build Mode banner now sits just above the hover panel at the bottom of the screen instead of over your output readout.
  • The Ancient toolbar tab is greyed out rather than hidden before your first restore, so the toolbar never reflows when you collect one.
Fixed
  • The Network subtitle was rendering as garbled run-together text ("Tech Points: 143K78.5K TP/min potential"). Both Network readouts are correct now.
  • The Network header was being squashed and overlapped by the board itself whenever the screen ran tall.
  • The Build Mode banner overlapped the output and milestone line at the top of the screen.
Known Issues
  • The Network board is shorter than it was. Anything you had built on its bottom rows has been cleared — the sources themselves are safe, but you may need to relay some belt.
  • The factory board still sits very slightly left of centre.
The Nova Update Aug 6, 2026
Added
  • Rebirth 25 opens the Nova tier — five new parts, the deepest content in the game.
  • Plasma Tipped Processor — every sale through it pays x3. Max 3.
  • Void Crucible — a heavy cup-shaped refinery with the biggest one-time ingot boost there is (x110).
  • Nova Press — boosts a crafted good x14, and stacks on top of the Aurum Press.
  • Nova dropper — a 12-tile spiked star, the richest ore source in the game.
  • Nova Forge — a Regalia and a Prism Core become a Nova Core, the new apex good. It is the first good that needs BOTH of your late production chains at once.
  • Three Nova tech nodes out past Titan on the far edge of the tech tree.
  • Rush contracts — a fourth, timed contract tier. It asks for less than Hard and pays the most of the four, but it expires, and running it out costs your streak.
  • Your board now GROWS. Every 5 rebirths adds a row, up to 3 extra rows.
  • Network factories can be upgraded with Tech Points. Each level is +25% output and pays for itself in about half an hour, at every level.
  • Placed factories can now be recalled off the Network grid instead of only erased.
  • Blueprint share codes — hit the arrow on any blueprint to generate a code, and paste someone else's in to import their layout.
  • A More Games button up top, with a one-click clipboard copy for Mash & Slash
  • Three new achievements: Aetherborn, Nova Lord and Quadrillionaire.
  • Three new contract types: Regalia, Prism Cores and Nova Cores.
  • A sixth Parts Guide page covering the whole Nova tier.
Improved
  • Parts now have a SHAPE as well as a colour — droppers are round ore nodules, refineries are flat-based kilns, crafting benches are cut-gem lozenges. You can read what a machine does at a glance.
  • Big multi-tile machines have real surface detail and a raised bevel instead of being flat slabs of colour.
  • The board window no longer changes size. It stays put as your board grows, and you can zoom out to frame the whole thing.
  • The Reset View button now frames your entire board rather than snapping to a fixed zoom.
  • The Network panel lists every compacted factory, placed or pooled, so you can upgrade any of them.
  • Build Mode moved to its own line under Leaderboards.
Fixed
  • Hovering a machine or picking a tool no longer shoves the entire board up and down.
  • The Prestige shop can now be scrolled — the last few upgrades were unreachable.
  • Regalia Bench and Prism Loom had one of their two input sides blocked by their own footprint, so they could only be fed down a single merged belt. Both have been reshaped.
  • Regalia and Prism Cores looked identical to a basic Jewel on the belt. Both have their own art now.
  • The Serpentine Refinery, Aurum Press, Regalia Bench and Prism Loom rendered with blank, unmarked centres.
  • Aetherium ore rode the belts grey instead of its own colour.
  • An ingot that went through the Serpentine Refinery showed no upgrade marker.
  • Regalia Bench and Prism Loom showed the half-finished material sitting inside them while they waited for a partner.
  • Network processors kept a gold "just sold" flash lit permanently after their first sale.
  • Resetting your progress replayed none of the unlock popups.
  • Network factory upgrades never actually applied — the multiplier existed but did nothing.
Known Issues
  • If you had a Regalia Bench or Prism Loom placed before this update, its shape has changed — you may need to sell and rebuild it.
  • The board still sits very slightly left of centre.
The Aetherium Update Aug 5, 2026
Added
  • Aetherium tier — a whole new band of content past Rebirth 15.
  • Serpentine Refinery — a big S-shaped machine, the strongest ingot boost in the game (x40). Material snakes in at the foot and out at the far tip. Rebirth 18.
  • Aetherium Dropper — an 11-tile lopsided crystal mass, one cell bigger than the Singularity and far richer. Emits from the crown tip. Rebirth 18.
  • Aurum Press — a cross-shaped machine, and the first refinery that boosts a CRAFTED good instead of an ingot (x6). Rebirth 20.
  • Regalia Bench — a crown-shaped combiner, the widest piece in the game. Scepter + Gemstone becomes Regalia, the new apex good. Rebirth 20.
  • Prism Loom — a stair-shaped combiner joining your two late chains. Gemstone + Power Core becomes a Prism Core. Rebirth 20.
  • Processors tab — the Processor now lives in its own dropdown alongside three new variants.
  • Chain Processor — takes a feed on BOTH ends, so two belt lines can sell into one square. Rebirth 5, then 300 boxes. Max 3.
  • Golden Tipped Processor — gilded rollers pay x1.5 on every sale. Rebirth 8, then 200 Power Cores. Max 3.
  • Diamond Tipped Processor — x2 on every sale, the best there is. Rebirth 15. Max 3.
  • Cross — a 4-way crossing so two belt lines can pass through each other without merging. It has been in the game's files for a long time but was never buildable.
  • Clear Board button — sells every piece at once, with a confirmation showing exactly what you get back.
  • Drag to erase — hold and drag with the eraser to sell a whole run of belt in one stroke.
  • Rebirth is now an event: a screen thump, layered sound and a card showing the run you just banked.
  • Finished buildings flash green and pop as the engineer steps away.
  • Selling a building now takes it apart piece by piece and pays out with a green $.
  • The engineer powers up and down with a voice, breathes while it waits, and celebrates a level-up with a ring and a Lv badge.
Improved
  • Rebalanced the tech tree: every percentage upgrade is 10% weaker per level. Because those upgrades multiply together, that works out to roughly a 2.4x cut to late-game income. Tech still resets on rebirth as it always has, and Prestige upgrades are untouched.
  • Unlock popups now cover the whole game. 22 pieces from the Silver Dropper onward used to unlock in complete silence, including every aura tower, the Bridge, and all the late-game benches.
  • The Rebirth button now tells you WHY it is locked, and says when a whole new tech tier has just opened under you instead of silently going grey.
  • The Parts Guide is spread over five pages so nothing is cut off, with proper room between each heading and its first entry.
  • Turning the quick bar on or off no longer shifts the whole board sideways.
Fixed
  • Progress bars no longer snap to empty when you buy a process-speed upgrade mid-craft.
  • Contract and achievement Tech Point rewards were massively inflated for late-game players — a single contract could pay out billions. Rewards now track what you can actually spend.
  • The Compact button under-reported its own payout by up to 13x. It now shows the Tech Points you will actually bank.
  • The Silver Dropper — your first ore upgrade — unlocked with no announcement at all.
  • The Ring Setter and Necklace Bench displayed as "RingSetter" and "NecklaceBench".
  • Six pieces were missing their colour on the board: Enricher, Gem Cutter, Alloyer, and all three aura towers, which looked identical to each other.
  • The Bridge was missing its colour stripe in the Conveyors menu.
  • The hover info card laid its text out sideways instead of stacked.
  • Engineer level-ups were tracked internally but never shown or heard.
Removed
  • The standalone Processor button — it now lives inside the Processors tab with the three variants.
Known Issues
  • Processors on the Network screen keep a gold flash stuck on them after a sale.
  • The Prestige shop does not scroll, so the lowest upgrades can be hard to reach.
  • The board sits slightly left of centre.
The Processor Update Aug 3, 2026
Added
  • Processors tab — the Processor now lives in its own dropdown alongside two new variants.
  • Chain Processor — takes a feed on BOTH ends, so two belt lines can sell into one square. Unlocks at Rebirth 5 after processing 300 boxes. Max 3.
  • Golden Tipped Processor — gilded rollers pay x1.5 on every sale, a straight upgrade on the plain Processor. Unlocks at Rebirth 8 after processing 200 Power Cores. Max 3.
  • Clear Board button — sells every piece on the grid at once, with a confirmation that shows exactly how many pieces go and what you get back.
  • Drag to erase — hold and drag with the eraser to sell a whole run of belt in one stroke.
  • Finished buildings now flash green and pop as the engineer steps away.
  • Demolition takes a piece apart chunk by chunk instead of vanishing it, and pays out with a green $.
  • The Parts Guide is spread over four pages so nothing is cut off, with proper breathing room between each section heading and its first entry.
  • Turning the quick bar on or off no longer shifts the whole board sideways.
Fixed
  • Unlock popups now cover the whole game — 21 pieces from Rebirth 2 onward used to unlock in complete silence, including every aura tower, the Bridge, Neutronium, Dark Matter, Singularity and all the late-game benches.
  • Progress bars no longer snap to empty when you buy a process-speed upgrade mid-craft.
  • Six pieces were missing their colour on the board — Enricher, Gem Cutter, Alloyer, and all three aura towers, which looked identical to each other.
  • The Bridge was missing its colour stripe in the Conveyors menu.
  • The hover info card laid its text out sideways instead of stacked.
  • The Compact button under-reported its own payout by up to 13x. It now shows the Tech Points you will actually bank.
  • Engineer level-ups were tracked but never shown or heard.
Removed
  • The standalone Processor button — it now lives inside the Processors tab with the two new variants.
Known Issues
  • After Rebirth 12 the Rebirth button stays locked until the new Titan tech nodes are bought. This is intended, but it currently reads like a bug.
  • Contract and achievement Tech Point rewards are inflated for Rebirth 12+ players who have maxed their tech.
  • The board sits slightly left of centre.
Late-Game Content & Fluidity Update Jul 30, 2026
Added
  • Titan tech tier: 5 new deep tech nodes beyond Apex (Rebirth 12 and Rebirth 15) for players pushing past R12
  • Singularity dropper (Rebirth 12): a colossal 5x2 ore source, the biggest dropper in the game
  • Market Tower (Rebirth 12): a new aura tower, processors within range sell for more
  • Scepter Bench (Rebirth 15): Gemstone + Crown -> Scepter, the new apex crafted good
  • Transmuter (Rebirth 15): a one-time x16 ingot boost, the strongest refiner yet
  • Overflow Gate (Rebirth 5): flows out the front, spills to the sides when the front backs up
  • Distributor (Rebirth 5): a 2x2 hub that feeds in from any side and shares materials out evenly
  • Quick bar: recently-used pieces now live in their own panel beside the engineer, one click to re-select
  • Options: toggle to turn the quick bar on or off
Improved
  • Materials now have real detail: rock texture on ore, a glowing core on hot metal and Power Cores, a bevelled face on ingots, facets on gems, bolts on Machines, and a metal-tinted corner on crates
  • Upgraded ingots (Forged, Enriched, Upgraded, Synthesized, Fabricated, Transmuted) now show a coloured pip so you can see they're loaded
  • Machine processing now animates smoothly instead of stepping, with a thin progress bar showing exactly how far along the work is
  • Stalled combiners waiting on a second ingredient now breathe a clear amber glow instead of looking empty
  • The engineer's hut is roomier so he isn't wedged against the walls
  • Parts Guide: category headers now sit clearly above their divider line instead of touching it, and the panel is wider so descriptions wrap less
  • Options menu toggles (Key hints, Unlock popups, Quick bar) are now properly styled instead of plain buttons
Fixed
  • Chain-highlight now correctly dims the new work-progress bar along with the rest of an off-chain machine
  • The upgrade pip no longer appears on copper wire, where it didn't belong
  • The crate strap decoration no longer pokes past the edge of small boxes
  • The Titan tech tier is now priced above the tier that unlocks it, instead of being cheaper for a similar bonus
Known Issues
  • Rebirth 12+ players will see their Rebirth button re-lock until the new Titan nodes are purchased
  • Contract and achievement Tech Point rewards are temporarily inflated for Rebirth 12+ players until balance is tuned further
  • The board shifts slightly left with the quick bar's new side panel
Factory Polish & Quality-of-Life Update Jul 13, 2026
Added
  • Build Mode: pause the whole factory in one click to rework a line without it draining or jamming, then resume when you're ready.
  • Quick bar: a row above the toolbar remembers your recently-used pieces so you can re-grab them with a single click.
  • Chain highlight: hover any piece with nothing selected to dim everything except the production line running through it — great for tracing or debugging a stalled chain.
  • Auto-connect: droppers, conveyors and machines now turn to link up automatically when placed, and dragging a belt line bends into corners on its own.
  • Jam warnings: a machine that's been backed up for a few seconds pulses red so you can spot bottlenecks at a glance.
  • Crown Bench (Rebirth 7): a new end-game machine that fuses a Gemstone and a Necklace into a Crown — the new top-tier good.
  • Dropper payback hints: every dropper in the build menu now shows its ore output per second and a rough payback time.
  • Blueprint cost preview: stamping a saved blueprint shows its total price (red when you can't afford it) and marks any blocked tiles.
  • Connection joints: linked conveyors now show a small steel coupling on the seam and flash white when they snap together.
Improved
  • Conveyors, tiles and machines now have subtle depth (a lit top edge and shaded base) so they read as raised hardware instead of flat blocks.
  • Output arrows are toned down so they guide the eye without overpowering the items on the belt.
  • The conveyor connection joint is smaller, cleaner and now sits perfectly centered on the belt.
  • The quick bar no longer nudges the toolbar up and down when you pick a piece.
Fixed
  • The construction sound no longer keeps looping while the game is paused.
  • The conveyor connection joint now sits behind items instead of covering them.
Removed
  • The old circular "pop" effect on connecting pieces — replaced with a cleaner white snap flash and the steel seam joint.
Known Issues
  • On very narrow windows the quick bar stays on a single row and can run wide instead of wrapping.
Smart Building and Bigger Wins Jul 11, 2026
Added
  • Auto connect, pieces now orient themselves to connect when you place them, drop a belt next to a dropper and it turns to carry the ore away, drop a dropper next to a belt and it faces the belt, drop a belt between two lines and it bridges them, if the rotation you set with R already connects it is always respected, so auto connect only steps in when a piece would otherwise sit dead, machines, corners, splitters and processors keep full manual rotation since their sides carry meaning
  • Connection feedback, joining two pieces now fires a gold flash on both cells and a crisp click, so every good connection feels locked in
  • Big sale celebrations, a sale that is both unusually large for your factory and worth a real chunk of income now triggers a proper moment, a louder fanfare, a brief whole screen thump, a gold flash on the coins counter, an expanding ring at the processor and a wider, denser coin burst, jackpot sales go gold
  • Eight new achievements, Trillionaire for 1T lifetime earned, Ultrafactory for 1B a minute, Ascendant for reaching Rebirth 10, Magnate for 100 contracts, Conglomerate for 15 compactions, Chief Mechanic for 50 tasks, Site Legend for engineer level 30 and Mass Exporter for 10k boxed goods sold
  • Jam indicator, a machine that stays backed up for more than a few seconds now pulses a red border so a real stall is obvious at a glance, without turning on the full flow overlay, normal belt queueing and packagers mid fill are ignored so it only fires on genuine jams
Improved
  • Drag painting now flows, belts painted in a single stroke orient along your drag and automatically bend into the right corner when the line turns, laying out a route is fast and clean, it only ever touches belts from that same stroke and costs nothing extra
  • Sale celebrations are carefully tuned to stay rare, a steady line selling identical boxes stays calm and a big upgrade celebrates for a few sales then settles, so the big moments keep meaning something
  • The new achievements are all tied to stats that survive rebirth, their rewards scale automatically and they show up in the Awards menu on their own
Fixed
  • Rebirthing no longer wipes your achievements or spams a wall of unlock toasts, they now carry across rebirths as they should
Known Issues
  • Wire payout values are still being tuned and may change in a future update
Bridges and a Whole Lot of Juice Jul 9, 2026
Added
  • Bridge conveyor, a two part conveyor that leaps items straight over a gap, place two halves up to 4 cells apart in a straight line and they connect, passing over anything in between, unlocks at Rebirth 2
  • Tower activation icons, droppers and machines now show a small icon when a Speed, Value or Overclock tower is boosting them so you can see a tower's reach at a glance
  • Coin burst on sales, little gold coins pop from the processor on every sale, bigger sales throw more
  • Unlock celebration, unlocking a new piece now plays a bright chime, pulses a golden glow around the screen and spotlights the reward
Improved
  • Processing juice, items now squash rhythmically while a machine works them, throw a spark burst when they transform and land with a satisfying double pop
  • Sale popups now scale with value, a bigger sale shows a bigger, brighter number that climbs from green to gold to orange, and never wraps onto two lines
  • Speed reactive belts, the flow pips running along your belts visibly speed up as you invest in Belt Speed
  • A soft process tick now plays as machines finish work, throttled so a busy factory purrs instead of roaring
  • The Intensifier, Assembler and Polisher now all work on Copper Wire
  • The packager box now grows as it fills so you can see how full a box is at a glance
  • Wire now reads as a clean strand with an outline that brightens once it is polished, the Wire Compacter makes a thick strand and the Wire Drawer draws it out into a thin one
Fixed
  • A stubborn light box that could appear around wire at the Wire Drawer, Intensifier and other machines is gone for good
  • The current goal card no longer bops up and down when the Claim button appears
  • Clicking the Move tool no longer nudges the whole grid
  • The Key hints toggle in Options no longer spills onto two lines
  • The polish shine no longer flickers off an item as it passes through machines
Known Issues
  • Wire payout values are still being tuned and may change in a future update
Quality of Life and Wire Works Jul 6, 2026
Added
  • Wire Compacter, a new machine that presses hot metal straight into Wire (any material), a parallel path to the Ingot Compacter, unlocks after processing 300 ingots
  • Hold to place, hold left click and drag to lay down a whole line of pieces instead of clicking each cell
  • Undo, a new Undo button removes the last piece you placed and refunds its full cost
  • Blueprint delete confirm, deleting a saved blueprint now asks Sure before it removes it
  • Keybind cheatsheet, a small on screen list of the controls, and a Key hints toggle in Options to turn it on or off
  • Hover info, hovering a machine, dropper or processor with an empty hand now shows what it is, what it does, and its boost status
  • Polished item shine, fully polished ingots get a small shine mark and fully polished wire gets a bright outline
Improved
  • Prestige Shop redesign, a cleaner two column layout with tidier cards, clearer levels and calmer colours
  • Invalid placements now show a clear red tint so a bad spot is obvious before you click
  • Engineer tech rebalanced, Engineer Speed and Prime Engineer give a smaller boost now that the engineer also levels up on its own
  • Wire now reads clearly on the belt, the Wire Compacter makes a long strand and the Wire Drawer makes a coiled glyph, both coloured to their metal
  • The Neutronium dropper now drops dark orange and the Dark Matter dropper drops purple instead of grey
  • The polish effect is now a shine burst instead of the old scale pop
  • Toolbar dropdowns cap their height and scroll so long lists stay on screen
Fixed
  • Clicking the Move tool no longer nudges the whole grid up and down
  • The polish shine no longer flickers off an ingot as it passes through other machines
  • Machine and processor boost tasks work again and the click ripple always shows
Known Issues
  • The Wire Compacter value is still being tuned so its payout may change in a future update
Copper Wire and a Cleaner Shop Jul 4, 2026
Added
  • Wire Drawer, a new mid-game machine that draws a compacted ingot into valuable Copper Wire, a parallel option alongside the Jeweler and Cutter, package it to sell
  • Feedback button, a new button up top opens a panel with the Offhand Studios Discord link so you can send feedback, report bugs and help shape what gets built next
  • Move tool hover hint, hovering the Move tool now tells you exactly how to unlock it
Improved
  • Prestige Shop redesign, a cleaner two column layout with tidier cards, clearer levels and calmer colours
  • Toolbar dropdowns now cap their height and scroll, so long lists like Droppers no longer run off the top of the screen
  • Engineer tech rebalanced, Engineer Speed and Prime Engineer give a smaller boost now that the engineer also gains speed from levelling up on its own
  • The Copper Wire recipe appears in the Production Chain guide once you unlock the Wire Drawer
Fixed
  • Machine and processor boost tasks were being cleared the instant they appeared, so those boosts now work and the Force Machine Task tool behaves
  • The machine task marker no longer hides behind neighbouring machines
  • Clicking a boost task now shows a clear ripple so the tap always registers
Removed
  • The feedback link is now a selectable field you can highlight and copy, and clicking inside it no longer closes the panel
Known Issues
  • The Copper Wire value multiplier is still being tuned, so its payout may change in a future update
Learning the Ropes Jul 3, 2026
Added
  • Guided first-time tutorial, the intro now walks you through your first working line step by step, the toolbar category you need glows green, each placement pops a little celebration, and finishing the tour pays a 500 coin starter bonus
  • Locked parts explain themselves, the next part you can unlock in each dropdown now shows what it does and what it takes right in the menu
  • First-open panel hints, the Tech Tree and Network now greet you with a short "what is this" card the first time you open them, so you are never dropped in cold
  • Rebirth button on the main screen, a Rebirth button now sits top-right, greyed until every Tech upgrade is maxed, so you never have to go hunting for how to rebirth
  • Session summary on return, the Welcome Back screen now also shows your current goal, any contract you are holding, and your streak, so you land back in oriented
  • Eight new achievements, Task Master, On a Roll, Dealmaker, Apprentice, Foreman, Smooth Operator, Goal Getter and Network Mogul
  • Click feedback on machine tasks, tapping a boost task now fires a cyan ripple right on the machine so the click always registers
Improved
  • Late dropper progression stretched out, Uranium and Diamond droppers now unlock over a longer, steadier climb instead of arriving almost back to back
  • The Rebirth goal now spells out exactly how to rebirth and points at the new button
  • Locked menu rows are now compact again with only the next unlock described, so dropdowns never overrun the screen
  • Flow overlay recoloured to a colourblind friendly palette, and border thickness now signals congestion too
Fixed
  • Machine and processor boost tasks were being cleared the instant they appeared, so those boosts and the Oil and Calibrate actions now actually work
  • The task marker no longer clips off the top of the grid at any zoom or pan, and no longer hides behind neighbouring machines
  • The Try it now and Got it buttons on the unlock popup are now the same size and aligned
Known Issues
  • The progression rebalance applies to runs already in progress, so an existing factory may show different unlock timing than before, this is intended
Goals, Orders and Efficiency Jul 3, 2026
Added
  • Objectives, a Current Goal card that always points you at the next useful thing to do, from your first sale through tech, contracts, compacting, the Network and rebirth, each paying a coin or Tech Point reward
  • Machine actions, task markers now appear on droppers, machines and processors, send the engineer over and solve a quick minigame to Tune, Oil or Calibrate that machine for a temporary boost
  • Engineer levels, the engineer now earns XP from builds and tasks and levels up, permanently improving its build and walk speed, shown in Live Stats
  • Contract choices, every contract now offers three tiers at once (Easy, Medium, Hard) so you can pick the one that suits your factory
  • Contract streaks, completing contracts back to back builds a streak worth up to plus 50 percent rewards
  • Factory efficiency score, a flow rating in the Stats panel with Bronze, Silver and Gold badges, a live readout of what is holding your factory up, and your best output this run
  • Production Chain guide, a new section in the guide that lays out every recipe from ore to necklaces, revealed as you discover each machine
  • Try it now, unlock popups now let you grab the new machine straight away and show your next unlock target
  • Task boost feedback, boosted machines glow while their boost is active, and machines pop a ring when they finish a job or make a sale
Improved
  • Smoother machine feedback, dropped ore now grows into place and finished goods pop as they complete
  • Rebalanced progression, the money curve is much steeper so upgrades, rebirths and staying longer all feel more rewarding
  • Cleaner HUD, softer grid lines, a tighter top bar and more consistent panel styling
  • Blueprints now show their total build cost, and stamping skips pieces you have not unlocked yet instead of failing
  • Toolbar cards you cannot afford yet are now dimmed
  • The tutorial hint line hides itself once you have rebirthed
  • Your engineer level, current goal and contract streak now carry across every rebirth
Fixed
  • The processor limit could show a negative number and block placing processors once lifetime earnings grew very large
  • The rebirth count now shows correctly under the coin total
  • The dropper task marker no longer draws off the top edge of the grid
  • The Current Goal and contract cards no longer overlap each other or the Stats panel
  • Contract Take buttons no longer wrap onto two lines
Known Issues
  • The progression rebalance also applies to runs already in progress, so an existing factory may show lower numbers than before, this is intended
  • The task marker keys off the grid row, so at some zoom or pan positions it may still clip near the very top edge
Dropper Tasks and Minigames Jul 1, 2026
Added
  • Dropper tasks, a glowing marker appears on a random dropper from time to time, click it to send the engineer over and start a quick minigame chosen at random
  • Wire minigame, connect each coloured wire to its matching colour on the other side to power the dropper up
  • Simon Says minigame, watch the colour sequence flash then repeat it back, with one more step added each round
  • Task reward, solving a minigame gives that dropper a 2.5x output boost for 40 seconds
Fixed
  • The processor limit could overflow to a negative number once lifetime earnings grew very large, which also blocked placing new processors
  • The task marker no longer draws off the top edge of the grid when it lands on a top row dropper
  • The rebirth count now shows correctly under the coin total
Known Issues
  • The task marker keys off the grid row, so at some zoom or pan positions it may still clip near the very top edge
Rings, Necklaces and Craft Chains Jul 1, 2026
Added
  • Ring Setter, a two tile combiner that fuses a Gemstone and a compacted ingot into a Ring, unlocks at Rebirth 4
  • Necklace Bench, a larger four tile combiner that fuses a Gemstone and a Ring into a Necklace, unlocks at Rebirth 5
  • Rings and Necklaces, new high tier crafted goods that you package and sell
  • Saveable Blueprints, save a layout as a named blueprint and stamp it back down later, stored separately so it survives every rebirth and reset
  • Flow overlay, a toggle that outlines your belts and machines to show throughput and highlight bottlenecks
  • Achievement rewards, every achievement now pays out Tech Points and coins the moment it unlocks
  • Idle animation for the engineer while it waits in the shop
Improved
  • The first three craft parts now unlock in a chain, earn the coin milestone for the Jeweler, then process Jewels to open the Assembler, then process Machines to open the Gem Cutter
  • Starter unlock milestones now cost more to reach for a longer, more deliberate early game
  • Plasma and Quantum droppers now take up two tiles and the Antimatter dropper is a three tile L
  • The Forge is now a three tile machine that passes material straight through its middle tile
  • Travel through machines now have an exit port the finished part emerges from
  • Rebirth reward now scales with how much you earned during the run
  • The guide keeps pieces you have not reached yet hidden until you discover them
  • Prestige Shop rebuilt as a compact grid of cards so it takes up far less of the screen
  • Compact factory now asks you to confirm before it removes the factory
  • Rebirths and Mechanical Parts are now shown under the coin total, and Stats, Daily and Awards sit in one row beside Leaderboards
Fixed
  • Long names on the Most Earned leaderboard no longer overlap the row beneath them
  • The Ring Setter and Necklace Bench no longer push their finished goods out sideways
  • Combiners no longer show the input material leaving the machine, only the finished Ring or Necklace comes out
  • The daily reward now resets correctly when a run resets
Known Issues
  • Any Forge or Plasma, Quantum or Antimatter dropper placed before this update changed footprint size, remove and replace it if it looks broken
Achievements & Discovery Jun 30, 2026
Added
  • Achievements: ten unlockable awards (First Profit, Master Craftsman, Born Again, Megafactory, Gigafactory, Billionaire, No Vacancy, Researcher, Veteran, Industrialist), a new Awards panel, and an unlock toast that pops up under the hotbar.
Improved
  • Rebirth now pays out more Mechanical Parts the more coins you bank in a run, on top of the existing rebirth depth bonus.
  • The Parts Guide now keeps undiscovered parts hidden as ??? until you unlock them, so later machines stay a mystery until you reach them.
  • Early game pacing rebalanced so the first several buildings take noticeably more total earnings to unlock, making the opening more deliberate.
  • Contract rewards rescaled so payouts stay meaningful as your output grows.
  • Daily reward and offline earnings popups are now centred on screen.
  • Unified button shapes and alignment across the top HUD bar.
  • Parts Guide panel now keeps a fixed height instead of resizing between pages, with rotating gameplay tips along the bottom.
Fixed
  • Resetting progress now fully clears the daily reward, so the streak, claim availability, and reward amount no longer carry over from your old run.
  • Packager box size menu now sits clear of the piece instead of overlapping it.
Known Issues
  • An achievement unlock toast can briefly overlap the copy and paste bar if it triggers while you are in Move or select mode.
  • Contract progress bar is cooked
