About This Package

Planet Shredder is a hands-on space destruction game where every shot tears real chunks from a fully destructible voxel world!

How it plays

Aim directly at the planet with your mouse. Click to fire single-shot weapons or hold the button for continuous weapons, then watch craters open, tunnels punch through the crust, water evaporate, and loose voxels break away under the simulation.
Every voxel removed pays credits and XP immediately. Destroy at least 92% of a target to finish the job, collect its completion rewards, and generate a fresh planet for the next attack. Spend your credits on weapon upgrades, change targets from the planetary catalog, and tune each weapon to match the destruction you want.

What you build toward

  • 55 selectable planets, moons, stars, megastructures, and strange worlds across unlock levels 1–24.
  • 40 weapons divided into 8 themed categories.
  • Upgrade every weapon from level 1 to level 12 with credits earned through destruction.
  • Tune weapon force from 0.5x to 5.0x and firing speed from 1 to 10.
  • Raise your player level from 1 to 99 by earning XP from damaged voxels and annihilated planets.
  • Fire black holes, meteor showers, nuclear missiles, mining drills, orbital cannons, moon collisions, and 34 more weapons.
  • Track credits, XP, total planets destroyed, weapon levels, and individual tuning settings.

Progression and persistence

There is no prestige wipe. Your level, XP, credits, destruction count, selected planet, selected weapon, all weapon levels, and tuning settings save locally and load automatically when you return.
Aim. Fire. Shred. Upgrade. Repeat.
Singleplayer. Automatic local save.

Realistic Worlds & Arsenal Update Aug 14, 2026
Added
  • Seven new monster weapons: Swarm, Leviathan, Monarch, Abyssal Devourer, Celestial, Doge and Polygon Entity, each with an articulated high-detail model, custom materials and unique attack effects.
  • Three terrain styles: Rounded, Voxel and Realistic, with Rounded as the default.
  • Real-world surface maps for Earth, Mercury, Venus, Mars, the Moon, Jupiter, Saturn, Neptune, Pluto, Ceres, Europa, Ganymede and Titan.
  • Unique missile models for Fusion Core, Nuclear Missiles, Missile Station, Remote Detonate and Nuclear Satan.
  • Terraforming attacks for raising, flattening and carving terrain, plus water, lava, snow and Planet Pinball effects.
  • New weapon audio for Kinetic Artillery, Leviathan, Monarch, Polygon Entity, missiles and terraforming attacks.
  • Phobos and Deimos as visual companions around both Mars and Terraform Mars.
  • A graphics setting to switch terrain styles without resetting planet damage.
Improved
  • Realistic terrain now rebuilds only affected surface chunks while preserving voxel damage, heat, materials and saves.
  • Realistic terrain performance improved from 7.75 to 18.13 average FPS (+134%); Mars improved from 4.0 to 18.3 FPS and the Moon from 6.2 to 20.0 FPS.
  • Planet relief, surface mapping, lighting, atmosphere, clouds and texture alignment across Solar System worlds.
  • Monster animation, scale, contact effects and destruction behavior.
  • Missile, drill, antimatter and sword combat feedback.
  • Clouds now flow around hot crater openings and return naturally after the terrain cools.
  • Shard reward feedback is clearer and appears beside the current Shards counter.
  • Planet HUD, weapon panels, terrain settings, icon sizing and text readability.
  • Localization coverage across 11 languages.
  • Asset loading and resource packaging for published builds.
Fixed
  • Surface grid lines, seams, white squares and block artifacts on Realistic planets.
  • Realistic terrain rebuild stalls during heavy destruction.
  • Sword swings now damage the voxels actually crossed by the blade.
  • Weapon impacts and shockwaves appearing on the wrong side of the planet.
  • Deep-layer destruction and planet clipping during heavy damage.
  • Missing models, textures, sounds and UI assets in published builds.
  • Jupiter Rounded mode using the wrong Realistic presentation.
  • Spacebar can now skip the intro cutscene.
  • Various planet and moon placement, scale, rotation and lighting issues.
Known Issues
  • Realistic terrain is more demanding than Rounded or Voxel. Switch terrain style in Graphics Settings if you need higher performance.
