New Features & Fixes

New Features & Fixes

     Background Music

     - Added 6 original tracks that play as a shuffled playlist on loop
     - New Music Player accessible from the button panel — skip forward/back between tracks,
     see the current song name
     - Draggable volume slider with mute toggle
     - Volume and music preferences are saved between sessions

     Chat Emoji Picker

     - New emoji picker button next to the chat input (smiley face icon)
     - 6 categories with ~40 emojis each: Smileys, Gestures, Animals, Food, Objects, Symbols
     - Emojis insert at your cursor position — max 8 emojis per message
     - Click outside or press Escape to close the picker

     Chat Improvements

     - Scroll speed fixed — no longer flies past messages when scrolling
     - Added a visual scrollbar to the chat panel with click-and-drag support
     - Chat no longer breaks during network hiccups — previously, a connection disruption could
wipe chat history and block all messages until the host rejoined. Chat now automatically
     recovers.

     Player Sidebar & Profiles

     - Connected players' Steam avatars now display in a sidebar on the right side of the
     screen
     - Click any avatar to open their profile — shows their name, a link to their Steam
profile, and their leaderboard stats across all 8 categories
     - Toggle the sidebar on/off with the "Hide/Show Players" button

     UI Enhancements

     - New header hide/show toggle — collapse the top panel (console, chat, buttons) to free up
      screen space for the game
     - Button panel expanded to a 2x3 grid with quick access to: Leaderboards, Reset Options,
Music, Save, Help, and Players toggle

     Bug Fixes

     - Fixed saves failing on long play sessions — certain values could overflow to Infinity
after extended play, which silently broke saving. These are now safely handled before each
      save.
